Carnegie 57 is a 75-story skyscraper currently under-construction in New York City. Upon completion in 2013 it will stand at 306 meters (1005 feet) tall, making it one of the tallest buildings in the city. The mixed use tower is developed by the Extell Development Company. Foundation work started in January 2010, and it´s currently the second tallest tower in New York under-construction, surpassed only by One World Trade Center (541 meters, 1776 feet).

The tower was built in downtown Houston at 600 Travis Street in 1981 as the Texas Commerce Tower. It was designed by noted architects I. M. Pei & Partners. Tower Verre, also known as the MoMA Expansion Tower and 53 West 53rd Street, is a supertall skyscraper proposed by the real estate company Hines to rise in Midtown Manhattan, New York City adjacent to the Museum of Modern Art. Original designs were completed by architect Renzo Piano, who later left the project in March 2007. Trans National Place was intended to stand as the tallest building in Boston, Massachusetts, and New England, surpassing the 60-story John Hancock Tower by 15 stories and at least 210 feet (64 meters) to become the tallest building in the city.
