Atlanta Skyscrapers

The Flatiron Building in Atlanta, Georgia, officially known as the English-American Building, is a flatiron building completed in 1897. The English-American Building is located at 84 Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta, on the wedge-shaped block between Peachtree Street NE, Poplar Street NW, and Broad Street NW, also creating a one-block break in Williams Street. It was completed five years before New York's Flatiron Building, and shares a similar prominent flatiron shape as its counterpart.

34 Peachtree Street, formerly known as One Park Tower is a 439ft (134m) tall skyscraper in Atlanta, Georgia. It was completed in 1961 and has 32 floors. It is the 24th tallest building in Atlanta, and was the tallest until it was passed by 2 Peachtree Street in 1966.

The Equitable Building is a 35-story, 453 foot (138 m) tall office building in Atlanta, Georgia, located at 100 Peachtree Street in the Fairlie-Poplar neighborhood in downtown Atlanta. A typical example of an International-style skyscraper, the building was designed by Chicago-based architectural firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, and was constructed in 1968 on the site of the former Piedmont Hotel.

Peachtree Summit is a 410 ft (125 m.), 31-story skyscraper located in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. Completed in 1975, Peachtree Summit is shaped like a triangle due to the unusual shape of its building lot, which is hemmed in by the Downtown Connector, West Peachtree Street, and Ivan Allen Jr. Boulevard.

The Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel is a skyscraper and hotel in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, on Peachtree Street adjacent to the Peachtree Center complex and the former Davison's/Macy's flagship store. It is 220 meters (723 feet) tall, and rises 73 stories from ground level. Its diameter is 188 ft (57 m). It is the second-tallest all-hotel skyscraper in the Western Hemisphere.

It contains 52 stories of office space and was finished in 1982.Before the 6 year era of tall skyscrapers to be built in Atlanta, it was Atlanta's 2nd tallest building from 1982–1987, and during that time period, the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel was the tallest building in Atlanta. Including the extra 6 years which were 1976-1982 before the Georgia Pacific tower opened.

The Atlanta Marriott Marquis is a Marriott hotel and the 14th tallest skyscraper in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Designed by Atlanta architect John Portman, It is probably one of the most well-recognized buildings in the city. Because of its noticeable bulging base, it is often referred to as the "pregnant building". Construction was completed on the building in 1985. One of the defining features of the Marriott Marquis is its large atrium.

Atlanta Plaza is a 425ft (130m) tall skyscraper in Atlanta, Georgia. It was completed in 1986 and has 32 floors. Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart & Associates, Inc.designed the building, which is tied with 1100 Peachtree as the 25th tallest building in Atlanta.

Park Place is a 420 ft (128m) tall skyscraper in Atlanta, Georgia. It was completed in 1986 and has 40 floors. It is the 27th tallest building in Atlanta. Famous occupants of the building include or have included Elton John, Oprah Winfrey, Janet Jackson and Coretta Scott King.

One Atlantic Center, also known as IBM Tower, is a skyscraper located in Midtown Atlanta. It is the third-tallest in Atlanta, reaching a height of 820 feet (250 m) with 50 stories of office space. It was completed in 1987 and remained the tallest building in Atlanta until 1992, when it was surpassed by the Bank of America Plaza, which was also built in Midtown. It was also the tallest building in the southeastern U.S. at the time of completion, surpassing the Wachovia Financial Center in Miami.
